Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Brewster County Criminal History. Reading a page or using a search feature signifies acceptance. A visitor who does not accept them must stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately run website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act uses. It is a reference resource for Brewster County, Texas records, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of government. It does not store official records, retrieve them, perform an official check, or file documents for a visitor.

Its role is to identify official custodians, including the Brewster County Sheriff, local courts, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and to provide access to optional outside tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on the following restrictions:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No visitor may use site or linked information to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 regulates the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and misuse against a registrant may be criminal. Registry information serves public safety awareness, not vigilantism or prohibited discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check needed for a regulated purpose must come from the Texas Department of Public Safety or an FCRA-compliant screening provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here is legal advice. General Brewster County record information cannot determine how a Texas charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to a person. Consult a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

The site is provided "as is," without a promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dismissals, expunctions, and nondisclosure orders can change the record. Gaps and delays are unavoidable, so no site statement substitutes for an official answer from a court, Sheriff, or agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to the Sheriff, courts, Texas agencies, legal resources, and outside services that we do not control. We are not responsible for a destination's content, data practices, fees, or availability. Read its terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Brewster County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distributing, modifying, or adapting that material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from site use or reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, proceedings, and demands caused by your use or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from website use must be brought in a court located in Texas, subject to applicable jurisdiction and venue law, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Business and Commerce Code Chapter 17, where it applies.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms take effect when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue. The affected language is adjusted only as far as needed for enforcement.
